Kahana Gateway Center
Across the street at the corner of Highway 30 and Ho'ohui Street is the Kahana Gateway Center. There are 3 Restaurants- Maui Brewing Company, Roy's Kahana Bar & Grill, & RB Black Angus Steakhouse. The other shops - Maui Dive Shop, Gallerie Hawaii, Hutton's Fine Jewelers, Leslie's Family Funwear, Rainbow Beach Swimwear, Tropical Gifts Hawaii, Bank of Hawaii with ATM, Whaler's General Store & Self Serve Gas, and even a McDonalds.
Maui Dive Shop - Good premium snorkel rentals or to purchase your own set. Rent scuba equipment (Certified divers, of course) for a week including 7 tanks for only $125.00 and go do some beach dives! Airport beach, Kapalua, Makene Beach Landing, etc....
Restaurants (walking distance):
- China Boat - Mandarin Szechwan (Chinese) cuisine. Just north at 4474 Lower Honoapi'ilani Road. Open for Lunch and Dinner only. Will deliver. Moderate prices ($8.00 - $18.00).
- Kahana Sands Restaurant - New owners, new menu, etc... Located on the beach at the Sands of Kahana. Good solid menu. Moderate prices.
- Maui Brewing Company - Upscale, they make their own beer and supply other restaurants.
- RB Black Angus Steakhouse - meat, it's whats for dinner.
- Dollie's Pub & Pizza - right across the street, good Pizza. Eat in or take out. We love the Maui Wowee (ham,pinneapple & mac nuts)
- Roy's Kahana Bar & Grill - Upscale, rave reviews.
